Growing

Recognizing the demand for fresh and locally grown fruit and vegetables, the Horton Fruit Company continues to dedicate resources to expand its growing and sourcing operations. Today, this local growing initiative has expanded to include over 600 acres of farmland and 15 family-owned farms.

The initiative started with the formation of Grow Farms, a grower and distributor of high quality, regionally grown fruit and vegetables. By leveraging its extensive distribution network Grow Farms assists family farms to remain sustainable by helping them to diversify and increase their operations. Grow Farms’ initial producing acreage is in Kentucky, Indiana, and Tennessee. In recent years we’ve been working to expand the local growing initiative to other parts of the country.
